Mission Etc

Mission Statement: "Be kind! Be Inclusive. Keep it Simple. Be determined. Be who you want to be and learn from each other."

How the meetings will go:

1. Each meeting we will have a demonstration on a certain technique. If we can, we will make it a hands-on for those that want to try it. If it is really intense, then we will have the demonstration and then figure out another time that we can play around with it as a group.

2. There will be a "Challenge" from each demonstration for the next month to use what we have been shown to incorporate it into something of our own. This way we are playing with it on our own time and in our own space, but then come together the next month and tell or show us what you learned from that process. We will do this every month after the new demonstration or lecture. We will call this our "Open-Forum" time. (Doesn't that sound fun!)

We hope to use this time for discussion of what you learned from the previous month's demonstration or lecture. And if you want critiquing or help with your project, this would be the time. Also, discussions about what other things you have learned through the month, resources you have found (to encourage researching of topics), and any other item that needs to be discussed.
